Parnassos Ski Center wishes to provide the best possible
services to its visitors and being loyal to this philosophy
it has assigned their medical coverage to a company
which specializes in health programs, LA VIE ASSURANCE,
which belongs to the "ATHENS MEDICAL GROUP",
the largest private group of companies in Greece providing
health services.
The visitors' medical insurance covers the following:
- First Aid assistance provided at the Ski Center's
First Aid stations, in case of an accident or sudden
sickness.
- In the instance the Ski center's doctors judge that
a case needs further examination and the patient is
not in the position to travel by a private means,
an ambulance will take him/her to the closest pubic
hospital.
- For cases that the Ski center's doctors judge as
emergency (emergency are the cases when there is a
sudden health disturbance with acute symptoms and
immediate medical assistance is needed in order to
avert a life threatening situation) and the patient
is not in the position to travel by a private means,
an ambulance will take him/her to one of the "Athens
Medical Group" clinics.
- For cases when the Ski center's doctors judge that
further examination is needed either by a specialized
doctor or diagnostic tests should be carried out,
they provide a written recommendation with which the
patient is able to visit any of the "Athens Medical
Group" clinics to be seen by the doctors on call
and undergo the diagnostic exams as per the recommendation.
- In the instance the Ski center's doctors judge that
a particular case needs hospitalization or an operation,
the patient is covered, if submitted to any of the
"Athens Medical Group" clinics, to stay
in a three-bed ward and for the maximum amount of
30.000 euro [the patient may choose to upgrade the
ward and participate in the expenses (including doctors'
remuneration) by 20% for every ward level higher than
the one offered by the medical insurance plan).
In order for someone to be eligible for the insurance
provisions, one must:
- Hold a valid ticket
- Visit one of the Ski Center's Fist Aid stations,
be examined by one of the station's doctors and be
included in the Patient Log book
- Bring with him/her the doctor's written recommendation
to be handed over to the hospital should he/she be
admitted to one of the "Athens Medical Group"
clinics .
- Make use of his/her National Health Insurance and
any private insurance he/she may have and before being
submitted, contact LA VIE during work days and hours
